The Oberia D. Dempsey Multi-Service Center
The Oberia D. Dempsey Multi-Service Center is an eclectic gatekeeper for neighborhood services that help the community address their needs, focus on and build their strengths, and tap into their passions and unique callings. More than 22 enriching program-based organizations dwell within the Dempsey Center – providing New York City residents with a perfect blend of social services, education, arts, and cultural resources.
This four-story facility also has dynamic spaces for rent – a 518 seat auditorium, a 4,392 sq. foot gymnasium, three conference rooms and a 2,750 sq. foot cafeteria. The auditorium comes to life during graduations, plays and recitals, panel discussions, and interactive workshops. The gymnasium is fitting for more than athletic tournaments. You can transform the space into a setting for galas, luncheons, and formal, black-tie affairs. To ensure high-quality events, podiums, sound equipment, and tables and chairs are also available.
The Dempsey Center offers modest hourly pricing for not-for-profit organizations and small businesses.
